Delivery

Lightning Verification Reports (of both types) are prepared entirely by hand.  This allows greater flexibility in customizing the final report to fit the specific needs of our customers in each case.

With the above in mind, general delivery guidelines for Lightning Verification Reports are as follows:

Strike count report:  Same business day if ordered before 3pm Central; following business day if ordered after 3pm Central.

Full mapped report:  Same business day if ordered before 12 Noon Central; following business day if ordered after 12 Noon Central.

The above delivery times should be viewed as a guide only.  For example, less complex requests may be delivered the same day (regardless of order time) vs. more complex requests.

Important Notes

*Due to restrictions placed upon the weather reporting industry by the lightning data network vendor, we can only allow a 72 hour (3 day) search period per request for a StrikeMap report.  If you need help narrowing down the most likely time period to have impacted the location in question, please contact us prior to ordering

Don't worry - if you order a report for a certain time period and there is no lightning detected, we will contact you first and see if you wish for us to modify the dates before sending the report.  We are happy to do this at no additional charge in most cases.

**The radius around the center point is set to 1 mile by default (industry standard), but may be increased (or decreased) upon request.

If you wish to order the "Summary" format ($29.95), please choose "Forensic" on the order form at the link below and specify that you'd like a lightning strike summary report in the comments section.  For a full "StrikeMap" report ($69.95), choose "Lightning Report" on the order form.

Customer feedback

Thank you for your efforts and assistance.  I will be referring other adjusters to your site - your service is impeccable... -Don Garman of Summit Claim Services

I needed help showing that lightning caused electrical failure in my home.  Your report was accepted right away by my insurance company and we got the repairs we needed a few days later.  Thanks again!  -Joseph Meyers, Tampa, FL

I like the fact that you're willing to work with us if we aren't certain of the date of loss.  Most other companies require us to pay up front without even knowing what we're looking for.  I will be recommending you to my colleagues.  -Tom Stanton, Indep. Insurance Adjuster, Houston, TX

About Lightning Data

Lightning data used in our reports are collected by ENTLN (Earth Networks Total Lightning Network).  ENTLN is the largest lightning network in the world, with over 1200 sensors in more than 40 countries.

The ENTLN network was the first one specifically designed to distinguish between in-cloud and cloud-to-ground strikes, and capture the precise locations of both in a very efficient manner.  This is made possible by employing proprietary GPS based technology throughout the network.

ENTLN is based in the United States.  They own, operate and maintain the lightning detection network, but they do not provide lightning verification reports.  Instead, they have partnered with us to provide lightning verification report services for our customers across North America.
