WeatherGuidance LLC ("WeatherGuidance," "we," "us") provides SiteWarn™, WeatherCue™ and StormIntel™ services. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect on weatherguidance.com and through our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Trial, quote and contact requests. When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you enter, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, the locations you want covered and any notes. We use it to set up your trial, answer your question and follow up with you.
- Free hail and wind report emails. If you sign up for free reports, we collect your email address and the states you select, and use them to send those reports. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Client accounts. If you are a client, we keep the account details needed to provide your service: login credentials, the sites or areas we monitor, alert thresholds, and the contacts, phone numbers and email addresses where you want alerts and reports delivered.
- Orders and payments. When you order a report or subscription, we collect the billing and order details needed to complete it. Card payments are processed by our payment processor, Durango Merchant Solutions. WeatherGuidance does not store full card numbers.
- Live chat, email and phone. If you chat with us on the site, email or call, we keep a record of the conversation so we can help you and follow up.
Information collected automatically
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and whether forms are submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your browser, device type, approximate location and pages visited. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Security and spam prevention. Our web server keeps standard logs, including IP addresses, and our forms record limited technical details to block spam and abuse.
- Location in our apps. Our mobile apps can show your position on the map if you allow location access on your device. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
How we use information
We use the information above to provide and support our services, deliver forecasts, warnings, cues and reports, respond to requests, process orders, send the emails you asked for, improve the website and our services, and protect against fraud and abuse.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising on this site.

We share information only with companies that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Google Analytics (website analytics)
- Kit, formerly ConvertKit (email sign-ups and report emails)
- Olark (website live chat)
- Amazon Web Services (email delivery and hosting)
- Durango Merchant Solutions (card payment processing)
- Twilio and mobile carriers' email-to-text gateways (text-message alerts)
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, our company or others.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. When you end a trial or cancel a service, you can ask us to delete your information (see below).
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from report emails using the link in any email.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections for account logins and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
