The National Weather Service issues no public warning for cloud-to-ground lightning — the hazard that actually ends outdoor events. We alert you in time to move guests under cover before a strike, and tell you when it's safe to go back out.

What a typical venue program looks like
Every program is built with the venue manager. Here is a common starting point for a wedding or event venue; fairs, festivals and tournaments use the same structure for the days they run.
- Event forecast: hour-by-hour forecast for your site issued two days out, the day before and the morning of each event, covering rain timing, lightning risk, wind for tents and structures, and heat.
- Lightning: alert on cloud-to-ground strikes within 10 miles, warning within 8 miles (move guests under hard cover), all-clear 30 minutes after the last strike inside the radius.
- High wind: warnings at your thresholds for tents, staging and inflatables — for example, gusts above 25 mph for tent sidewalls, 35 mph for staging — with onset and end timing.
- Tornado and severe thunderstorm: venue-specific warnings with expected arrival time for guest sheltering; null-warning notification when the NWS polygon includes you but the storm does not.
- Fair, festival and tournament coverage: single-event or multi-day programs with a meteorologist assigned for the run of the event, reachable by phone.
- Delivery: portal and push alerts to the venue manager and event lead, live phone call for anything guest-critical, text to setup and security crews — and an API feed into your event operations system if you use one.
- Heat (WBGT or heat index): advisories and warnings at your thresholds for outdoor events, on either scale.
- Wildfire: advisory when fire-weather conditions are expected to threaten the site or its access routes; warning when an active fire's location and expected spread put the site at risk, with timing and an all-clear.

Can you cover a single event, like one wedding or a three-day festival?
Yes. Single-event and multi-day programs are available with a meteorologist assigned for the run of the event, reachable by phone. Venues that host events year-round usually move to a monthly program; single-site programs start at $99.95 a month; multi-site discounts apply — ten sites does not cost ten times one.
Do you warn for lightning?
Yes. The National Weather Service issues no warnings for cloud-to-ground lightning. SiteWarn alerts you to strikes within a custom radius of your site with enough lead time to move people and protect equipment, and tells you when it is safe to resume.
How far ahead do you tell us whether the event will be rained out?
