Two hazards most warning services skip
Lightning is the obvious gap in public warnings. These two are the quiet ones — and both are handled in SiteWarn the same way as hail or tornadoes: your thresholds, an advisory ahead of time, a warning when it's real, and an all-clear.
Heat by Wet Bulb Globe Temperature, not just heat index
Heat index is air temperature and humidity in the shade. Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) adds sun, wind and cloud cover — which is why athletic associations, the military and OSHA-aligned heat programs set their work-rest and activity limits in WBGT, not heat index. SiteWarn provides heat advisories and warnings on either scale, by your preference or your policy's requirement, at the thresholds you set for each site: practice fields, yards, decks, docks, rooftops.
Wildfire advisories and warnings
Most services stop at a red-flag day. SiteWarn treats wildfire like every other hazard: an advisory when fire-weather conditions — wind, humidity, fuel dryness — are expected to threaten your site or access routes, and a warning when an active fire's location and expected spread put your site at risk, with timing and an all-clear. For utilities, solar, railroads, camps, campuses and fleets in fire country, it's part of the same program as everything else.

How long does it take to clear your field, stow your trackers, or shelter a building? That's your lead time. Most clients choose 30 to 60 minutes or more; about 45 minutes is typical across our client base. Longer lead time means earlier, slightly less certain warnings — we'll help you find the balance.
Single-site programs start at $99.95 a month
Pricing depends on location, level of customization and the number of sites monitored. Multi-site programs get a group rate — ten sites does not cost ten times one. Every plan includes unlimited users, interactive radar and lightning data, and a meteorologist you can call.

How is SiteWarn different from National Weather Service warnings?
NWS warnings cover large polygons — often hundreds or thousands of square miles — and are written for the public at large. SiteWarn monitors your exact site footprint and warns you only when a hazard threatens your location, at the thresholds you choose. When the NWS warns an area that includes you but your site is clear, we tell you that too.
Does SiteWarn warn for lightning?
Yes. The National Weather Service issues no public warnings for cloud-to-ground lightning. SiteWarn alerts you to lightning within a custom radius of your site with enough lead time to move people and protect equipment, and follows up with an all-clear.
How much warning lead time do I get?
